Welcome to the Flemington Jewish Community Center
Bruchim Haba'im! Welcome!
As our name indicates, we are a community! We are proud to serve our members with egalitarian services, a wide variety of educational opportunities, social events and compassionate support when needed. The Flemington Jewish Community Center (FJCC) is a vibrant, warm, inclusive synagogue and center of conservative Jewish life in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas. A few years ago, the FJCC moved into a beautiful new building that provides a home for praying, learning and socializing in our sanctuary, classrooms and social spaces. About 100 years ago, the synagogue was founded by a small group of immigrant farmers. Today, our congregation is comprised of a wonderful membership of giving, caring people with diverse backgrounds, professions, and interests. We enjoy being a place where members form long-lasting friendships, learn from each other, and celebrate the joy of being Jewish.
Virtual Services and Programs
Due to Covid-19, the Flemington Jewish Community Center religious services, educational programs, CENTER SERIES events and many community events have transitioned to online programming. #FJCC at Home Together has a variety of opportunities to connect together with members of the congregation and the greater community. High Holy Day Services
All holiday services will be online with a couple of in-synagogue options. There are two major changes to our traditional High Holiday schedule:
The Shofar will be blown at 5:30pm Sunday September 20th OUTSIDE the synagogue. We will then observe the Tashlikh service -- please join us with masks, and appropriate physical distancing; you may remain in your car.
Yizkor will be observed online BEFORE Yom Kippur on Saturday September 26th, at 7:35pm. Then join us for Havdalah. The traditional Yom Kippur service will be online, but we will have an in-synagogue option for the Mincha service on Monday September 28th at 3:00 pm.
